Gemini Integration

NexSpace connects to Google’s Gemini surfaces the same way it connects to Claude and ChatGPT: as a remote MCP server with OAuth. The same endpoint, scopes, approvals, and guardrails apply.

Gemini Enterprise (Business edition)

  1. In the Gemini Enterprise admin console, go to Connections → Custom MCP server and add:
  1. Choose OAuth authentication. Gemini discovers the NexSpace authorization server from the endpoint’s protected-resource metadata and registers automatically.
  2. Each user completes the NexSpace consent flow on first use — the consent page shows the granted permissions with Read/Write badges.

Gemini Spark / Gemini web app

Add NexSpace as a custom app by MCP server URL in the Gemini web app (Connected apps → custom app). Once connected it is available in Spark on web and mobile.

What Gemini can do

Identical to the other AI surfaces — the connector is the same server:
  • Reads (default): schedules, staffing, analytics, CRM, compliance — scoped to your role and organization.
  • Writes (with explicit scopes like crm:write): gated actions create an approval in NexSpace and run only after a human approves.
  • Connected apps (with apps:* scopes): your Slack / QuickBooks / HubSpot actions through the one governed connector.

Notes

  • The endpoint serves spec-2025-06-18 MCP over Streamable HTTP with resumable streams; Gemini’s MCP clients are supported without any NexSpace-side configuration.
  • Organization AI guardrails, suite entitlements, and RBAC apply on every call regardless of which AI client is connected.
